Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix plus eggs, oil, water per package
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries hulled and dried
  • 1 cup large marshmallows
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 10 pieces wooden skewers

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch baking pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden skewers
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Bake brownies according to package directions in a greased 9x9 inch pan at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Prepare strawberries by rinsing, drying thoroughly with paper towels, and hulling the green tops.
  3. Thread skewers by alternating brownie cubes, strawberries, and marshmallows. Create 3-4 sets per skewer, leaving an inch at the bottom for holding.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then heat another 30 seconds until smooth.
  5. Drizzle or dip assembled kabobs with melted chocolate, then place on parchment-lined tray.
  6. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until chocolate sets. Serve immediately or store covered in fridge up to 24 hours.

Notes

  • Dry strawberries thoroughly to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  • Cut brownie cubes at least 1-inch to prevent crumbling.
  • Store assembled kabobs in fridge up to 2 days, best within 24 hours.
  • Can freeze brownie cubes (without fruit) up to 3 months.
